In 2004, when the first vines were planted at Gusbourne Estate, we had a clear vision and a single goal: to create English Sparkling Wines that would stand up alongside the very finest offerings from across the globe. 

An uncompromising quest for perfection and a fastidious approach to detail is at the heart of everything we do. We ensure only the best grapes are used in our winemaking by growing and hand-picking them ourselves. We present an authentic reflection of a time and place in each of our bottles, by producing exclusively vintage wines that are unique to each growing season. 

About us

Our vineyards are the core of everything we do at Gusbourne. Our philosophy, our values, our history, our future. And the key to ensuring the quality of our grapes – and our wines – is to grow them ourselves. We grow Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grapes – the three classic sparkling wine varieties. Our fruit is ripe and intensely flavourful, a product of our distinct terroir and exceptionally mild microclimates.

These privileged growing conditions allow us to make wines that are exclusively vintage, which is very unusual in England. Our winemaking is a slow and exacting craft, with a low-intervention approach that extends from the vineyard to the winery, ensuring the best expression of our wines every year. Each vintage is a unique expression of the growing season.
